Notes: Lucky Man 4568 is the first 1 of 1 print I have uploaded to the website. It is part of my win-lose series of work, but this time it is showing an unbroken win sequence. I can’t deny that the title of this piece has been influenced by The Verve’s ‘Lucky Man’.
A 1 of 1 print on archival paper at frame size: 34×44cm and image size: 23×34cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: This digital work came about when I was sitting in my studio trying to come up with some ideas. I took a small model car from a shelf above my desk and placed it next to a few battered cardboard greyhound dice. The title of this work came to me while shooting the scene and with just a minute or two in Photoshop I had the image I was after.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 31.5×31.5cm and image size: 26×26cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: This digital work is a continuation of my Win-Lose Sequence series. The construct of WLS 9-5-6 is determined by the number of letter present in the image (9) and the numbers given to the US racing colors of green (5) and black (6). This is the first 9-letter work made available as a limited issue print. Other constructs will follow.
Notes: This digital work is a remix from an earlier piece titled Warhol As Machine. This new version uses the US racing color code. It’s interesting to note that some racetracks have casino-like facilities attached - including slots.

Notes: This digital work references the data I accumulated over 25 years as a speed handicapper for At The Races (UK). The racing code dictates that Red = 1, so the work is titled Win-Lose-1. Ultimately there will be nine versions of this limited issue print, one for each of the colors in the racing code. You can check out Win-Lose-3 (blue) on my IG account.

Notes: This images references the UK racing color code that is often found in my work. In this instance it creates a framework for rally cars, whose drivers are competitive risk-takers of the first order. This code was also chosen over the US racing color code, because rallying is primarily a European sport.
Notes: Lady SJ was at the NAC on a photoshoot, and I was asked if I would like to come along. The shoot went well and Lady SJ seemed very approachable, so I asked if she would like to help me with my semaphore project. She kindly agreed and this was ‘the’ shot that captured what I wanted to say about Grid Girls being banned from Formula 1.
Notes: There was a cafe called Pit Stop in Wolverhampton in 2013, and pretty soon I had invited an artist friend of mine (Belinda) to a photoshoot there. On the wall was a chequered flag, and Belinda has brought along a Union Flag umbrella, all of which made for a successful shoot. I took the best image from the shoot and edited it in Photoshop until I couldn’t take it any further.

Notes: This is an early digital work which I’ve kept in its original state without upgrade. I like the raw energy of this piece, and the concept of how many things in life can hinge on the narrowest of margins.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 44×34cm and image size: 35×24cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: In 2014 I created the UK version of Gambling Jasper Johns by using the UK greyhound number and color code. Later on I created this US version using the US horseracing number and color code. Back in the 60s Pop artist Jasper Johns created a work titled 0 through 9, so it wasn’t too much of a leap for me to create this version using racing codes. The codes are foundational in the evolution of my art practice and underpin many of the works I have created over the past 20 years. The ‘0’ in both works represent the ‘0’ on a roulette wheel, or house advantage.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 34×44cm and image size: 25.5×34cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: Most people know that Blek Le Rat was on the scene before Banksy, and this digital work gives him the nod too. Crafted in a manner that only Tipstapunk could conjure up, it also highlights the competitive nature of the art world.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 44×34cm and image size: 34×23cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: Back in the 80s, when I was totally lost and still didn’t know how I was going to fashion a life for myself, I sat down with a piece of A4 paper and decided to draw an image using only straight lines. An image of Cleopatra came to mind, and pretty soon I had created Heaven In Symmetry. From the drawing I constructed a collage and years later gave it to a friend. This digital version is a strong representation of that collage, and I’m happy to release it as a limited issue print.

Notes: Having constructed and painted six chairs in my studio, I was given permission to photograph my assemblage in one of the exhibition spaces at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. I turned off the main lights and turned on the spotlights to get the shot I wanted. I then edited the image in Photoshop until everything fell right.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 44×34cm and image size: 34×25cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: I once saw a young woman at a casino using what looked like a system while playing roulette. A few weeks later I sketched out the scene on paper, worked on it a little, and finally produced a small edition of linocuts titled Girl With A System. A few years later I created a digital version of the same work and it is now offered up as a limited issue print.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 34×44cm and image size: 24×34cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: A Player Or Nothing started life as a large acrylic work with poker symbols rather than the chess symbols you see in this work. The large acrylic work sold out of a gallery in London, and several digital versions have sold too. This chess version is new to the market, so why not be the first collector to own it?
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 34×44cm and image size: 27×34cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: New Space Race (2009) is a digital collage of images found on the internet, with several of the images having been edited using Photoshop. Its meaning is open to interpretation, but it’s worth remembering that greyhounds often represent guardians in Tipstapunk’s work.
Notes: Once Gambling Christ I was complete Tipstapunk began work on Gambling Christ II, which was a matter of bringing together six of the wedge-shaped parts of the first-named digital work. Adding a dollar coin at the center of the new image made it whole.
Notes: In 2014 Tipstapunk began work on a digital concept titled Gambling Christ I, which is a commentary on what might happen if we ‘gamble’ on the notion of Christ. The image had to look a certain way in order for the artist to construct Gambling Christ II successfully.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size 32×44cm and image size: 24×34cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: Once I had the title - A Gambler In Paris - enter my head, I began to construct an image based on hand drawings of Paris landmarks and found images of people on the internet. The clouds are made up of greyhound racing jackets, and they are raining down droplets of luck onto the people below.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size 31.5×31.5cm and image size: 26×26cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: A combination of found images and objects combine to make this statement about speculation, chance and risk. The work also features the UK greyhound number and color code, as well as the title ‘I’m All In’, which is constructed from Tipstapunk’s unique AlphaBET.
Notes: The Race very much pays homage to Andy Warhol and the repeating images to be found in his work during the 60s. I also like that this format mimics horse and dog race meetings on any particular day, with one race following on from another in quick succession. This work comes in other colors, such as yellow, pink and blue.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 44×34cm and image size: 34×24cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: This limited issue print started life as a studio photograph, which was then manipulated in Photoshop to give it a more Pop Art look and feel. A few years later I projected this image onto canvas in the studio in order to create a large acrylic work.
Notes: Tipstapunk was gifted a skull by a fellow artist when both worked out of studios at Newhampton Arts Centre, Wolverhampton, in around 2013. He then photographed the skull and used it as the main feature if this powerful and provocative image.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size 22.5×31.5cm and image size: 18×24cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: Man Ray Stops Bullets is one of the first works I created when operating out of my first art studio in 2007. It was made up of four A4 sheets of photo paper, as I hadn’t yet invested in a large color printer. Aces are known as bullets in card-playing circles, while the complimentary poker chips covering Man Ray’s eyes add a surrealist touch. This limited issue print has been published on Man Ray’s birthday.
Notes: A fellow artist at Makers Dozen Studios kindly agreed to let Tipstapunk photograph her wearing three different pairs of shoes, and the images were to form the foundation of Le Trottoir, the story of three women walking along a pavement (with greyhound racing jackets embedded) into a future full of unknowns.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 34×44cm and image size: 26×34cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: Web3, crypto, blockchain, NFT’s, they all took off in 2021, and Tipstapunk didn’t shy away from the action - instead he absorbed it all and let it impact the art he was creating. For example, his 3D sculpture Greyhound Dice suddenly morphed into a series of Coded Blocks.
A 1 of 1 print on archival paper at frame size: 31.5×31.5cm and image size: 26×26cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: Dice collectors often have a few dice shakers knocking around and Tipstapunk is no exception. While working out of a studio at Makers Dozen, Wolverhampton, he photographed a wooden dice shaker, manipulated it in Photoshop, and the end result was Double Dice Shaker. This photo-digital work is available in a small selection of colors - red, green, blue and silver.
A limited issue print on archival paper at frame size: 44×34cm and image size: 34×20cm. Signed and dated on the front, with two studio stamps on verso. The print is presented unmounted in a simple black wooden frame with Perspex front, ready to hang, and will arrive in a sturdy cardboard wrap.
Notes: A unique chess set concept from Tipstapunk, with greyhound racing colors transposed onto the chess pieces. Both sides are the same color, but are of a different shape. Coded by artist Lloyd Austins when both artists worked out of Princess Alley Studios, Wolverhampton, in 2008, this image was also animated by Lloyd a few years later. Sadly, Lloyd passed away in 2022. RIP Lloyd.
Notes: Tipstapunk has a large collection of dice, and one day decided to roll a selection of them across his desk. Holding a camera in his other hand, he snapped away until getting the image he wanted. The image was then edited in Photoshop until the magic happened - that moment when everything falls into place.
Notes: The original photo for this work was taken by creative assistant Nisha, and when she showed it to me at NAC studios I was knocked out. I asked Nisha if she would let me work on it in Photoshop and she kindly agreed. It took about 20 minutes before Nisha Wears New Coat became the finished article. A joint effort for sure and a great memory.
Notes: Back in 2019 the people of France started protesting against low wages and pension reform. Some were known as ‘Yellow Jackets’, but other groups took to the streets too, such as ballerinas! Ballerina With Greyhound creates an unusual yet compelling juxtaposition and honors those who made a stand.
